Sitzender weiblicher Akt mit überschlagenem Bein. 1903.
Charcoal drawing.
On creme paper. 32.4 x 24.5 cm (12.7 x 9.6 in), size of sheet.
Inscribed with a dedication by Dr. Peter Beckmann, son of the artist, dated 1964, to Prof. Theodor Garve (1902–1987), artist, academy professor, and former Beckmann student).

PROVENANCE: Minna Beckmann-Tube, Gauting.
Collection of Prof. Theodor (Theo) Garve, Hamburg. (1964, gift from the estate of the above. With a dedication on the reverse).
Galerie Elfriede Wirnitzer, Baden-Baden.

Good overall impression. Overall slightly irregularly browned, with mount staining. Mounting residue on the reverse of the upper edge of the sheet, showing through to the recto. The upper left edge of the sheet is slightly irregular. With studio marks. [EH]
