Grano-Lithograph.
Copy aside from the edition. On Rives wove paper (without the watermark). 47.5 x 33.7 cm (18.7 x 13.2 in). Sheet: 66 x 49,8 cm (26 x 19,6 in).
The prints from this edition were published in the portfolio “Amerikas Hommage à Picasso” (America's Homage to Picasso) by Propyläen-Verlag, Berlin, 1974. Printed at Atelier Matthieu Zurich (with dry stamp), based on an early casein work by Palermo. [JS].
• The Palermo myth: young, nonconformist, progressive.
• After studying in Düsseldorf under Joseph Beuys, Palermo moved into a studio in New York in December 1973 and drew decisive inspiration from the vibrant American music and art scene.
• Palermo died in 1977 while on vacation with his girlfriend in the Maldives.
• Palermo's progressiveness had a formative influence on his fellow students Gerhard Richter and Imi Knoebel, as well as on subsequent generations of artists.
• Blinky Palermo's editions can be found in important museum collections worldwide, including the Tate Modern in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

In good condition. Only four faint brown spots on the upper edge. Mounting marks on the upper corners on the reverse, faintly visible on the recto. A slight crease in the lower left margin.
