• Polke combines figuration and abstraction, experiments with colors and techniques, and finds completely new forms of artistic expression.
• As early as 1986, his contribution to the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale was awarded the Golden Lion.
• Today, Polke is considered one of the most important German artists of the late 20th century.
