• A luminous, summery composition in harmonious colors.
• Characteristic of Schmidt-Rottluff’s visual language, which is defined by the tension between black outlines and airy colors.
• Comparable works on paper are found in the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Brücke Museum, Berlin; and the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main, among others.

The work is documented in the archive of the Karl and Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Foundation. We are grateful for the kind assistance.

In good condition. There is a small tear in the paper in the center of the sheet on the right-hand side.
