Zwei auf dem Sofa sitzende Mädchen. 1912-14.
Lithograph, colored with pastel chalks and watercolor.
Signed. From an edition of ca. 50 copies. On brownish wove paper (with two watermarks). 21.5 x 26.8 cm (8.4 x 10.5 in). Sheet: 50 x 40 cm (19,6 x 15,7 in).

• Colored in chalk and watercolor by Otto Mueller.
• Mueller's slender, melancholic female nudes are typical of his work.
• The collections of the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main and the Brücke-Museum in Berlin hold uncolored copies of this lithograph.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Berlin.

LITERATURE: Florian Karsch, Otto Mueller. Das graphische Gesamtwerk, Berlin 1974, catalogue raisonné no. 65 (illustrated).

In good condition. Browned and with isolated foxing. Margins slightly irregular.
