• Atmospheric landscape in autumnal colors.
• Through the distorted representation of the trees and the intense use of color, Heckel challenges the viewer to engage with the fierce energy of nature.
• Part of the same private collection for over 50 years.

The work is listed in the estate of Erich Heckel, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Ms. Renate Ebner for her kind support.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Hamburg (family-owned since ca. 1970).

In good condition. Slightly browned overall and with small brown spots. Slight creases at the bottom edge of the sheet. The top edge is attached to the mount.
