Signed, dated, titled, and marked “Saro NY” on the reverse, as well as with a direction arrow. 46 x 30.5 cm (18.1 x 12 in). [AW].
• With a playful touch, Spanish artist Juan Uslé opens up new perspectives on surface and space.
• The artist, who has lived in New York since 1988, renews the visual and intellectual vitality of abstract painting with his diverse body of work.
• Participated in the 9th documenta in Kassel in 1992 and the 51st Venice Biennale in 2005.
• Juan Uslé has held numerous solo exhibitions, including in 2003 at the Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid, in 2004 at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, and in 2014 at the Kunstmuseum Bonn.
PROVENANCE: Galerie Academia, Salzburg.
Private collection, Southern Germany (acquired from the above in 2009).
In good condition, with vibrant colors. There are several areas of light soiling and slight wear, primarily in the upper and lower parts of the image. This condition report was prepared to the best of our knowledge and belief, in daylight and using a UV light source.
