• At the height of his career: Klauke participated in Documenta 6 (1977) and 8 (1987) as well as the Venice Biennale (1980).
• In 2002, the Kunsthalle Hamburg honored Klauke’s significant contribution to experimental photography in a comprehensive solo exhibition.
• Works by the artist are held, among others, at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Goetz Collection in Munich.
