On wove paper (3) and on light paper (2). Up to 28 x 22 cm (11 x 8.6 in), size of sheet. [KA].

• Wonderful series of nude studies in Max Klinger's typical symbolist style.
• Among his contemporaries, Klinger was considered the “German Michelangelo.”
• In 1902, the artist exhibited his marble sculpture “Beethoven” alongside works by Gustav Klimt at the Vienna Secession
.

The edges of the pages have some tiny to small tears, isolated brown spots, and slight handling marks and creases.
