Oil on cardboard.
Signed and dated in the lower center. Also signed and dated on the reverse, inscribed “No. 4” and with the artist’s address. 54 x 65.3 cm (21.2 x 25.7 in). [KA].
• Sophisticated still life inspired by the playful austerity of Synthetic Cubism.
• Rudolf Ausleger has been a member of the renowned “November” artists' group since 1920.
• From an important private collection in Berlin.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, Berlin.
EXHIBITION: Große Berliner Kunstausstellung 1928, cat. no. 42 or 44, illu.
In good condition. Small areas of expert retouching, mainly around the edges of the picture due to framing. The condition report was prepared in daylight and with the aid of a UV light source to the best of our knowledge and belief.
