• Alf Lechner is concerned with the disassembly, division and subtraction of material.
• The gently curved surfaces and haptically appealing surface of the upper section create an exciting contrast to the clear, smooth rectangular surfaces of the cube.
• The artist does not put his ideas into the material, but allows ideas to arise from the material.
• Alf Lechner, who combined industrial materials such as steel with sensitivity and emotion, is considered one of the leading German sculptors.
