"Das Licht ist bedroht". 1961.
Watercolor, India ink and pastel.
Lower right signed and dated "29-1-61". Titled and inscribed with information on an exhibition on the reverse. On J. Whatman laid paper (with watermark). 49.7 x 61.5 cm (19.5 x 24.2 in), the full sheet. [AW].

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Hesse (probably since 1984).
In family ownership since.

EXHIBITION: New German Painting, Woodstock Gallery, London, Februarx 1961 (inscribed on the reverse).

In good condition. Slightly wavy due to the nature of the material, and the paper surface is partially slightly roughened. A few tiny color losses along the lower left edge of the sheet.
