Signed in the lower right and on the reverse. On wove paper. 50.7 x 67.5 cm (19.9 x 26.5 in), the full sheet. [KA].

• With his watercolor chalk drawings, Mueller creates a harmonious, earthy vignette of an unspoiled, paradisiacal landscape.
• Rarity: Mueller’s landscape watercolors are extremely rare on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
• Part of the same private collection for over 35 years.
• Comparable watercolors by Mueller are now held in major museum collections, including the Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri, the Albertina, Vienna, and the Kupferstichkabinett of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.

Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia (acquired from the above around 1990).

In good condition. Slight mount staining and faint traces of sunning. On the reverse, small traces of a previous mounting remain in the corners of the sheet, minimally showing through to the front.
