This is all the more surprising as Ackermann did not actually count among the two circles of students around Hölzel; he met Hölzel and became his student after he had already left the academy. Good overall impression. The painting is relined with canvas. Some professionally retouched spots are visible in UV light.. In daylight, these spots can only be seen in oblique light. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
