The sheet is generally slightly unevenly browned, with slightly heavier browning around the mount. The edges of the sheet are generally stained. There is a slight horizontal crease in the center of the sheet, which has been professionally smoothed out. There is a tiny tear at the top of the right edge, which has been professionally restored.
The Annam paper in the upper right corner has a small area of paper loss. There are faint traces of moisture in the upper left corner and to the right of the image, as well as two small areas of rubbing.
The reverse side bears remnants of the old mounting, some of which extend beyond the edge.
