Verso inscribed by the collector Fritz Burckhardt "Originalzeichnung von Max Beckmann". On firm, slightly grayish wove paper. 13.8 x 20.3 cm (5.4 x 7.9 in), the full sheet.
• Early drawing by the exceptional artist.
• Max Beckmann is internationally regarded as one of the most important protagonists of Modernism.
The sheet will be included in the revised catalog raisonné of drawings currently in preparation. We would like to thank Dr. Stephan von Wiese and Hedda Finke for their kind information.
