• Colorful print based on the painting of the same name by Henri Matisse.
• The color aquatint demonstrates Matisse's extraordinary ability to transfer painterly areas of color to a print medium.
• The odalisque is depicted in a sensual yet formalized manner – a paradigmatic example of the modern approach to the nude.
• Most recently, the Fondation Beyeler, Riehen/Basel, honored the artist with the exhibition “Matisse – Invitation to Travel” (September 22, 2024–January 26, 2025)

In good condition. Slightly browned overall except for the outer narrow margins. With a few small brown spots. With a small tear on the lower right margin, barely noticeable to the naked eye, expertly repaired.
