• One woman—many faces: Through clothing and emotion, Thomas Schütte gives “Sophie” individual character variations.
• In addition to sculpture, printmaking plays a central role in his oeuvre.
• In 2005, he represented Germany at the 51st Venice Biennale.
• Comprehensive retrospectives are scheduled at, among others, the Museum of Modern Art, New York (2024/2025), and the K21 Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Düsseldorf (November 2026 through April 2026).
