Signed, dated and inscribed "e/a". Artist proof aside from the edition of 100. 68 x 108 cm (26.7 x 42.5 in). Sheet: 80 x 120 cm (31,4 x 47,2 in).
Published by Erker Presse, St. Gallen (with blindstamp). [AW].
• In the present work, the artist transferred the highly dynamic structure of the famous nail fields to paper.
• Uecker repeatedly varied the motif and explored its formal potential.
• The nails are arranged in a way that they create shadows and spaces.
• The embossed prints form the main part of Günter Uecker's graphic oeuvre.
PROVENANCE: Galerie Geuer & Breckner, Düsseldorf.
Private collection South Germany (acquired from the above in 2007).
In good condition. Slightly wavy from printing. A faint crease in the upper left margin. Very isolated tiny brown spots.
