Sweet Odalisque. 1994.
Watercolor.
Signed and dated in the lower right. On firm Arches France wove paper (with watermark and embossing stamp). 60.6 x 102.6 cm (23.8 x 40.3 in), size of sheet.
From the series "The lost paintings of 1965", number 5. [MH].
• One of the very few portrayals of Claudia Schiffer by the artist.
• For Ramos, the female nude is the epitome of beauty.
• The artist draws his motifs from the imagery of comics and advertisements.
• Alongside Warhol, Lichtenstein and Rosenquist, Ramos is considered one of the main representatives of Pop Art.
