Pen and India ink drawing.
Titled “Szene am Zürichsee” and dated by a hand other than that of the artist on the reverse, inscribed by Florian Karsch with the Galerie Nierendorf acquisition number “E71-745 / 72”. On creme wove paper. 15.6 x 22 cm (6.1 x 8.6 in), the full sheet.

• Created in Switzerland, Kirchner's adopted home and creative refuge since 1917.
• A playfully light scene on Lake Zurich, captured with great graphic finesse.
• Kirchner is the great draughtsman of the “Brücke” artists: his works are translations of the spontaneous, immediate and emotional experience of reality.
