Signed in the lower right. 32.2 x 46 cm (12.6 x 18.1 in), size of sheet. [CH].
• Together with Jean Dubuffet, Jean Fautrier is considered one of the founders of Informalism.
• Comprehensive retrospectives took place in 2014 at the National Museum of Art, Osaka, in 2017 at the Kunstmuseum Winterthur, in 2018 at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, and in 2024/25 at the Emil Schumacher Museum, Hagen.
We are grateful to Dominique Fautrier, son of the artist, for his kind expert advice.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Günther Förg.
Fine overall impression. The sheet is slightly creased overall and has some mount staining. There are some small crease marks and isolated tiny tears in the margins.
