Pencil drawings (5), laid on cardboard.
Signed (5) and also dated (1). On creme wove paper (1) and on BFK Rives wove paper (4, with watermark). Up to 44.2 x 28 cm (17.4 x 11 in), size of sheet. [KA].
• Expressive nude studies from Jean Fautrier's early Parisian period.
• Stylistic transition between figuration and abstraction: sensual, reduced, immediate.
• Jean Fautrier is one of the founders of Informalism..

Fine overall impression. The sheets are overall slightly creased. Some sheets with tiny to small paper losses in the corners. One sheet with minimal tiny to small tears in the left edge (up to approx. 3 cm).
