• A bridge between painting and photography: a high-contrast color epic and an abstract, emotional fusion of colors in typical Richter style.
• Other copies of this edition are in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen.
• Drama and Poetics: The title attests to Richter’s engagement with Shakespeare’s play Hamlet.
• Formerly owned by Norbert Arns, who was Gerhard Richter’s long-time assistant
