Bronze with black-brown patina.
With the monogram and the foundry mark “H. NOACK BERLIN” on the sole of the left foot. Height: 76 cm (29.9 in).
Cast after 1945. [AW].
• Fritz Klimsch is one of the most important German sculptors of the early 20th century.
• The female nude occupies a prominent place in his oeuvre.
• A timeless depiction of the relationship between man and nature that reaches beyond mere representation.
• Dynamic movement combined with an introspective posture and a beautiful patina on a textured surface.
