Charcoal drawing.
With the estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570 b) and the hand-written registrationnumber "K Dre/Bi 3" on the reverse. On cardboard. 34.6 x 43.3 cm (13.6 x 17 in), size of sheet. [AM].
• The great expressionist shows his masterly swift line.
• Expressive charcoal drawing, presumably made in the artist's Dresden studio.
PROVENANCE: From the artist's estate (with the stamp on the reverse, Lugt 1570 b).
Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Würzburg (with the collector's stamp, Lugt 6032).

Good overall impression. Sheet all in all slightly soiled, with isolated stains and slightly irregular browned in places. Paper partially scuffed in the edges and with isolated paper losses. Slight folding mark in the center, with a closed tear (approx. 11 cm) in the lower area. Mounted on red paper.
