Pencil drawing.
Signed, dated and titled in lower right. On paper (with a perforated edge). 27.5 x 22.5 cm (10.8 x 8.8 in), nearly the full sheet. [EH].
• Preliminary drawing for the painting “Weiblicher Kopf (Frau am Vorhang)" in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Madrid.
The work is registered in the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Mrs Renate Ebner for the kind support in cataloging this lot.
PROVENANCE: Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Würzburg (with the collector's stamp, Lugt 6032).

In good condition. The lower right margin with slight creasing. Two small brownish discolorations next to the hair in the right margin. The drawing is clear and concise.
