Monogrammed and dated in the upper right. 170 x 110 cm (66.9 x 43.3 in).

• Paeffgen distorts real photographs, so that his reduced works provoke thought.
• Claus Otto Paeffgen's creations are on display in renowned museums, including the Museum Folkwang, Essen, the Museum Ludwig, Cologne, and the Von der Heydt-Museum, Wuppertal.
PROVENANCE: Galerie Werle, Cologne
Private collection, Hamburg (through donation within the family).
EXHIBITION: C. O. Paeffgen, Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, May 2 - June 7, 1987, cat. no. 17 (illustrated), (with a shipping label on the reverse of the stretcher).
In good condition. Minimally soiled in places and with a slight color adhesion in the area of the tie, visible under UV light. The canvas is mounted on a second canvas. The upper stretcher bar is missing. The condition report was compiled in daylight and with the help of a UV light source to the best of our knowledge and belief.
