Signed and dated in the center left, titled and inscribed along the center of the image: “Wrapped Bridge (Project for ‘Le Pont Alexandre III - Des Invalides 1900 in Paris’) using woven nylon polyamide and Dacron rope.”. 56 x 71 cm (22 x 27.9 in).

• Draft for the planned yet never realized covering of the Pont Alexandre III, Paris.
• Just two years later, they successfully covered another historic bridge, the Pont Neuf in Paris.
• From the early days of the progressive artist couple's first major projects.
• During their lifetime, they financed their artistic independence with collages and drawings, which today are lasting testimonies to their influential work.
PROVENANCE: Annely Juda Fine Art, London (with a label on the reverse side of the frame).
Private collection, southern Germany.
In good condition. Slightly browned overall, somewhat more so along the edges of the image. With isolated studio marks and some adhesive residue, slightly yellowed. Unframed (dimensions with frame: 75.5 x 90.5 cm).
