Bronze, patinated and painted.
Plinth with the scratched monogram, the number and the foundry mark. From an edition of 25 copies. Height (incl. plinth): 56 cm (22 in). Plinth: 0,5 x 22 cm (0,2 x 8,7 x 7,9 in).

• In the early 1980s, Stephan Balkenhol was the leading spirit behind the revival of figurative sculpture.
• The artist's sculptural works have an unparalleled recognition value and are part of the collections of, among others, the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, and the Kunstmuseum Basel.
• Works in bronze are at the Kunsthalle in Baden-Baden (“Ikarus”, 2006) or in front of the Hamburg zoo Hagenbecks Tierpark (“Mann auf Giraffe”, 2001).
• Most recently, Stephan Balkenhol's works were on display in solo exhibitions at the Museum Wiesbaden, the Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg and the Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden in Wuppertal.
