• In this work, Heinrich Bürkel combines subtle painterly precision with a striking faithfulness to reality.
• The Biedermeier painter participated in the World Fairs in London in 1862 and Paris in 1867.
• As early as 1834, King Ludwig I acquired a small painting from the Munich Kunstverein and was followed in subsequent years by numerous patrons from the European royal houses and in North America.

Landscape in harmonious colors and in good condition. Some retouching, such as in the upper right corner and a longer horizontal retouch in the lower part of the image. Fine, barely noticeable craquelure in the upper right corner. Varnish slightly yellowed. Edges unobtrusively scuffed from framing. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
