Watercolor.
Signed and with the handwritten inscription “5 stumpbay” in the lower left corner. On firm wove paper (with blindstamp “Universal”). 50 x 39 cm (19.6 x 15.3 in), size of sheet.

The work will be included into the forthcoming catalogue raisonné, currently being prepared by Ralph Jentsch, Berlin. We are grateful for the kind support in cataloging this lot.
PROVENANCE: Edward James, Sussex (handwritten note on the back of the frame).
Private collection, Southern Germany.
In family ownership since.
In good condition. All in all slightly browned and with slight discoloration. Small pinholes along the edges.
