Signed and dated in the lower left. On cradboard. 54.5 x 80 cm (21.4 x 31.4 in), the full sheet. [KA].
• Exceptional interplay between reduced form and strong colors.
• Almost 40 years in a private collection.
• In the year of its creation, Penck took part in documenta 7 in Kassel and two years later, in 1984, in the Venice Biennale.
• With his characteristic repertoire of signs, A. R. Penck is one of the most important German neo-expressionist artists.
The work is listed in the archive of Galerie Michael Werner.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Hesse (1985, Galerie Thomas, Munich).
In good condition. Minimally rubbed in places. The upper right corner of the sheet is slightly dirty from the production. The lower right corner of the sheet is very slightly bumped.
