• Stimmungsvolles kleines Landschaftsgemälde von Andreas Jawlensky, Sohn des berühmten Expressionisten Alexej von Jawlensky.
• Souveräne Landschaftskomposition: Klare Farbflächen zwischen Horizontalen und Diagonalen.
• Entstanden auf der kleinen, rauen Atlanikinsel Quessant im Zuge von Andreas Jawlenskys Hochzeitsreise.
• 1927 besuchte Jawlensky gemeinsam mit seiner jungen Frau Maria neben zahlreichen kunsthistorisch bedeutenden Orten wie Paris, Versailles, Chartes und Fontainbleau auch die kleine, idyllische Insel Quessant.
