• With his inimitable visual language, Bacon is considered one of the most significant painters of the 20th century.
• The deformed human body in a tightly constructed space is one of his most characteristic subjects.
• Offset print based on the painting of the same name, which is now in the Museum Ludwig in Cologne; the first version has been in the Museum of Modern Art, New York, since 1948.
