Signed in penicl in the lower left. 59.8 x 50.3 cm (23.5 x 19.8 in). [KA].
• The logic and systematic approach in A. R. Penck’s symbolic language are unique in postwar German art.
• The stick figures are Penck’s trademark feature, often compared to prehistoric cave paintings.
• In 1972, 1982, and 1992, Penck exhibited at documenta in Kassel, and at the Venice Biennale in 1984.
• His works are held in numerous major collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; and the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich.
The work is registered in the archive of Galerie Michael Werner, Berlin.

In good condition. Two slight scuffs in the upper right and lower right corners of the image. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the aid of a UV light source, and to the best of our knowledge and belief. Not unframed for cataloging.
