• Vibrant “iris” in complementary color contrasts.
• Nature is the dominant subject in Bernd Zimmer’s oeuvre.
• In 1977, he was among the co-founders of the Galerie am Moritzplatz in Berlin, alongside Salomé, Helmut Middendorf, Rainer Fetting, and others.
• Works by the artist are at, among others, the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main, the Berlinische Galerie in Berlin, and the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
PROVENANCE: Galerie Jahn, Munich.
Private collection, Southern Germany (acquired from the above).
In good condition, with vibrant colors. There are tiny pinholes in the upper corners of both sheets, caused by the artist’s studio. Very few minor studio marks. Not unframed for cataloging.
