• A vibrant work with particularly energetic, impasto brushstrokes.
• Bernhard Heisig is one of the leading figures of the Leipzig School.
• Participated in documenta 6 in Kassel in 1977.
• Studio scenes such as this one are very rarely offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
• Works by Heisig are now held in numerous major collections, including the Berlinische Galerie, Berlin, the Hamburger Kunsthalle, and the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Berlin.
