Ohne Titel. 1961.
Torn off poster remains on sheet metal.
Lower right signed and dated. Inscribed "N° 7" on the reverse. 49 x 83 cm (19.2 x 32.6 in).

• Conceptual work on paper by the pioneer of 20th century art.
• In Paris in the late 1940s, Raymond Hains and Jacques de la Villeglé began to tear posters off the walls in nightly actions and declared them art: A completely new understanding of art was born.
• In 1960, a year before this work was created, Hains signed the first manifesto of "Nouveau Réalisme" together with artists such as Arman, Yves Klein and Jean Tinguely.
• He Participation in the documenta in Kassel in 1968 and 1997 and posthumously in the main exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 2017.

Galerie Reckermann, Cologne (with the stamp on the reverse).
Private collection Baden-Württemberg.
In good condition. With a small hole in the sheet metal from an old mounting, however, part of the work's nature. Not unframed for cataloging.
