Sigmar Polke interprets the story of Samson and Delilah in the formal language of POP-ART. Delilah is able to coax the secret of Samson's indomitable strength out of him: it lies in the curls of his hair. She cuts off the sleeping Samson's locks, robbing him of his strength and enabling his opponents to defeat him. Sigmar Polke transfers the events onto a sheet of paper like a comic strip in three scenes whose details are reminiscent of works by the great pop artist Roy Lichtenstein.

In very good condition.
