Cavalier et cheval. 1952.
Ceramics, clay, white sherd. Cut decor and oxide painting on white enamel.
Numbered and inscribed"Edition Picasso Madoura" and with the embossing stamps "Madoura plein feu" and "Edition Picasso" on the base. From an edition of 300 copies. 21.5 x 14 x 18.5 cm (8.4 x 5.5 x 7.2 in).

• Beautifully shaped ceramics painted in great detail on both sides.
• Although Picasso learned the technique late in his career, he quickly created an extensive and still highly valued body of work characterized by great diversity.
• From the important modern art collection of Dr. Hanns Hülsberg, Hagen.

In good condition. With isolated craquelure, presumably from the making. Slight soiling in the upper half and on the inside.
