Mixed media on burlap.
Signed and dated in the upper rigth. 170 x 134 cm (66.9 x 52.7 in). [JS].
• Sturm was among the founders of the avant-garde group SPUR.
• In 1985, the artist took over the chair of Günther Fruhtrunk at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
• Most recently, the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, showed a comprehensive retrospective of his paintings (2022).
PROVENANCE: From the artist's estate.
In good condition. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of our knowledge.
