Signed in the lower right. On paper. 22.1 x 13.4 cm (8.7 x 5.2 in), size of sheet.

• Schad captures the spirit of the 1920s with just a few accentuated lines.
• Christian Schad is considered one of the most important representatives of New Objectivity.
• The artist approaches his motifs with a cool, objective distance.

LITERATURE: Hauswedell & Nolte, Hamburg, 263rd auction, June 9-10, 1986, lot 1091 (illustrated on plate 106).
In good condition. The sheet is slightly wavy and minimally discolored in places. With barely noticeable crease marks due to the mounting residue on the verso. Isolated skinned spots in the image due to the printing process.
