Oil on panel.
Monogrammed and dated lower left. Signed and dated again on the reverse. 46 x 37.5 cm (18.1 x 14.7 in). [AW].
PROVENANCE: Collection of Prof. Dr. Manfred Pohlen and Dr. Margarethe Bautz-Holzherr, Marburg.
LITERATURE: Pierre Vorms, Masereel. Catalogue Raisonné, Antwerp 1976, CR no. 375 (dimensions mixed up; peintures à l'huile).

In good condition. The outer edges of the image show signs of rubbing and minor color loss in places. There is a tiny loss of color in the center of the right-hand edge of the image. There are numerous small, expertly executed retouches in the left-hand area of the image. The condition report was prepared in daylight and with the aid of a UV light source to the best of our knowledge and belief.
