With teh embossing stamps "Madoura plein feu" and "Empreinte originale de Picasso" on the stand. From an edition of 100 copies. Diameter: 41.5 cm (16.3 in). [KA].

• The mythological goat becomes a symbol of joie de vivre and playful rebelliousness.
• In the Madoura workshop in Vallauris in the south of France, Picasso discovers new, revolutionary methods of design in the late 1940s.
• Picasso's ceramic works represent a significant part of his overall oeuvre in terms of their scope, variety, and expressiveness.
