Signed. Dated "Paris 10 mars XXXIV" in the printing plate. One off 260 copies from this state. On Montval laid paper (with watermark "Vollard"). 22.2 x 31.4 cm (8.7 x 12.3 in). Sheet: 34 x 44,7 cm (13,3 x 17,6 in).

• In the 100 sheets of the “Suite Vollard,” Picasso intensively explores his central theme of artist and model.
• Art and Eros: The special quality of these scenes lies in the tension between creative and erotic passion.
• Picasso, the love-addicted artist, appears here in the form of his alter ego, the love-hungry Zeus, the secret voyeur of the erotic scene in the form of a statue.
• Sheets from the “Suite Vollard” can now be found in international museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
