Monogrammed and dated in the bottom center. On firm Schoeller Durex wove paper (with the embossing stamp). 43.5 x 31 cm (17.1 x 12.2 in), the full sheet. [KA].

• With his diverse oeuvre of drawings, watercolors, and prints, Janssen is considered one of the most outstanding draftsmen and graphic artists of the 20th century.
• Further drawings by the artist can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Centre Pompidou, Paris, and the Hamburger Kunsthalle, among others.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, Frankfurt am Main (family-owned ever since).
In good condition. The sheet is slightly irregularly wavy due to the manufacturing process. The lower left corner of the sheet has a tiny loss of paper.
