Signed and dated in the lower right. 61.5 x 85 cm (24.2 x 33.4 in).
The painting will be included in the catalogue raisonné currently in preparation under the inventory number “WV-OM-SW-1939, No. 131 Moorbild Wolken grau” (Moorland Painting, Gray Clouds). [MH].

• The artist is considered one of the leading figures of the Worpswede School.
• Atmospheric, nuanced landscape painting from the late work of what was probably the most important German landscape painter of his time.
• Until January 12, 2025, the Otto Modersohn Museum in Fischerhude presented a Otto Modersohn retrospective to mark the museum's 50th anniversary

In good condition. Overall slightly soiled. The lower edge is slightly rubbed. With a few minor retouches. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the aid of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
