Signed on the reverse of the canvas, dated twice and titled. Marked on the stretcher with a later dedication, which is also signed and dated. Marked on the stretcher with the stamps of Studio Piero Dorazio, where it is handwritten “1020". 54.5 x 65 cm (21.4 x 25.5 in). [CH].
• With layers of overlapping, boldly colored stripes and bands, Dorazio elevates color, light, and rhythmic structures to the protagonists of his painting.
• As early as 1959 and 1964, the artist was represented at documenta II and III in Kassel, and in 1960, numerous of his works were on display at the XXX Biennale di Venezia.
• Dorazio's works can be found in the collections of the Museum Folkwang in Essen, the Museum für Konkrete Kunst in Ingolstadt, and the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.), among others.
The work will be submitted to the Archivio Piero Dorazio, Milan, in its original form at the earliest possible date on March 23, 2026. A photo certificate will follow.
