• Between intuition and control: a high-contrast work born of gestural expression.
• Movement is one of the defining elements in the work of K. O. Götz.
• He is considered a leading figure of German Informel, and his works are represented in major museum collections, including the Tate Collection, London, the Albertina, Vienna, and the Museum Ludwig, Cologne.

The work is listed in the online catalogue raisonné of the artist’s works on paper under the number WVP-06/82.

In good condition. Firmly mounted on backing board (according to the online catalogue raisonné, the work is signed, dated, and titled again on the reverse, and bears the stamp “Sammlung Rissa-Götz”). Shows minor scuffing in places, as well as fingerprints along the edges and traces of studio work.
